Is Weekend College for me?

How does Weekend College work?

Classes are offered Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. An associate's degree-that can enhance your work performance or transfer to a four-year college or university-may be obtained within eight semesters of weekend study by following a prescribed program. If you want to accelerate your program, you can weave weekday or weeknight classes, telecourses, web classes and "credit for prior learning" into your schedule.

Will my classes transfer?

If you want a bachelor's degree, Weekend College gives you the opportunity to affordably step toward the possibility of a four-year degree. Kalamazoo Valley Community College has articulation agreements with public and private colleges and universities throughout Michigan. By working with a KVCC counselor, you can be assured that your classes will transfer and will apply toward a bachelor's degree in your field of study.  You won't even have to leave Kalamazoo to complete your four-year degree. Spring Arbor College, Phoenix University and Siena Heights University all offer a variety of accelerated programs for the adult student-some right at KVCC. And a partnership with Franklin University gives you the opportunity to complete a bachelor's degree via the web when you become a KVCC student.
