Betsey Dennis, KVCC's instant offense for the last two years has signed a letter
of intent to
continue to play with Concordia University in Ann Arbor.
Would she - or wouldn't she? For a while, mostly when she was working thru
her hand injury that ended her sophomore season early, Betsey Dennis was going
to just be a student and not play for any of the schools that were pursuing her.
And then the love of the game kicked in and she changed her mind.
Concordia ended up the big winner.
"I'm really pleased that Betsey's decided to continue."
commented Cougar coach, Ron Welch. "It's pretty evident to me that she has
just begun to do what she's capable of. I do know that her season ending
injury had a significant impact on our team as we entered the playoffs without
her. I believe that she will step into the very competitive situation in
the WHAC at Concordia and have an immediate impact. We look forward to
watching her continue to develop at the next level and we wish her the best!"
