KVCC Coaches present a
FREE Clinic!!!!
As a service to the
area middle school and high school coaches as they begin this transition season, Head Coach Ron Welch, 2007
BCAM Women's Jr. College Coach of the Year and his staff will offer a FREE
coaches clinic on the morning of November 10, 2007. Highlighting - and
tipping off the clinic will be the highly energetic and new head women's
basketball coach at Grand Valley State University, Janel Burgess. Also
joining the team as a presenter will be veteran Kalamazoo Valley men's coach
Dick Shilts. Coach Shilts was honored recently by BCAM for his 600th win.
A variety of topics from defense, offense,
individual skill instruction, practice organization and general basketball
philosophy will be covered by three of the most knowledgeable and successful
coaches in the area. The goal is to provide coaches with some of the same
theories, philosophies and "schemes" that have made these coaches leaders in
their respective conferences.
The 2007 Kalamazoo Valley Women's Basketball team
will help the coaches by provide on-the-court demonstrations of the theories and
fundamentals offered.
