March 15, 2008: 
Trio of Cougar stars spark Western Conference to 88-71 win.

     The Western Conference All Stars flexed their muscles  - and in the 2nd half showed off their shooting touch - as they steadily pulled away after trailing the Eastern All Stars 35-30 at the half.  Final score: 88-71.  And the three KVCC All Stars were right in the middle of it. 

     Cougar Sophomore, Shannon Dumond, surprisingly led the West in rebounding with eight and scored 7 points in 15 minutes of play.  Three Rivers freshman, Caitlin Krull, also tallied 7 points and 3 rebounds in 13 minutes of work and went to the free throw line  nine times.  KVCC's  6'2" post player from Parchment, Jeannie Closson, played a big part in the defensive effort with 3 big blocks, but only attempted one shot.  Glen Oaks CC sophomore guard, Megan King, was named West MVP for the game with 15 points.  She was 3 of 3 from three and 4 of 4 from the free throw line.
