RE: Essay Contest
Turn your prose into profit and get published! Enter your essays in the Kalamazoo
Valley Community College annual essay contest by May 2, 2008 to be eligible to
compete for cash awards and publication in the 2008 volume of Winning Essays.
This publication becomes part of the KVCC library’s permanent collection. Entries
should be essays written in English 098, 110, and 160 during the summer of 2007, the
autumn of 2007, and the winter of 2008. Winners will be notified by mail as soon as
the judges have made their decisions. Just follow the directions on the entry form below.
Remember, all submissions must be received by May 2 at 4:30 pm.
ENTRY FORM—ENGLISH DEPARTMENT ESSAY CONTEST FOR ENG 098, 110, & 160
Essays are due no later than 4:30 pm, Friday, May 2, 2008 to the Faculty Receptionist in Room 7320. All entries should be marked to the attention of Caroline Whiting.
NOTE: Submissions must include two printed copies of your essay and a computer disk compatible with Windows, for each entry, along with this form, completed and signed. You may submit up to two entries.
OR: Submissions may be made electronically by sending essays as an attachment to the following email address: engessay.TTC-POST.KVCC@kvcc.edu A hard copy of the entry form, with signature, must be dropped off in Room 7320 even if you use the electronic email box.
