DEAN OF INSTRUCTION – ARCADIA COMMONS CAMPUS
Reports to the Associate Vice President for Academic Services. Serves as the administrator for the Arcadia Commons Campus including the buildings, operations and all student/community services; provides general administrative direction and leadership for the operational, financial and personnel activities of the Arcadia Commons Campus academic functions; reviews and approves department budgets and departmental policies/procedures; approves the recruitment, hire and recommendation for placement of full-time departmental faculty and staff; advises the Associate Vice President on matters regarding assigned functions/departments; participates in institutional long range planning and curriculum development activities; develops and markets courses, services and customized career training opportunities; creates and implements strategic plans and concepts for business and industry curriculum growth and stronger community connections and other related responsibilities.
EXPECTED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Appropriate education, training, experience and talents required. An example of this would be a Master’s degree, four years of experience in an academic and/or business/industry setting, including two years in a supervisory capacity.
