then Kalamazoo Valley Community College may have the opportunity you are looking
for. We are anticipating this full-time faculty opening which will begin
Tuesday, August 26, 2008. This position is contingent upon funding and

ENGLISH
Responsibilities include teaching both day and evening courses, developing
curriculum and participating in division, departmental and college activities.
Candidates must be familiar and flexible with a variety of instructional
strategies including an ability to utilize technology-based instruction in the
classroom and have an understanding of the community college philosophy.
EXPECTED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
1. Master’s
degree in English required.

Applicants must demonstrate a broad-based background in teaching a variety of
English courses, although the primary focus for this position will be
instructing composition and college writing classes.
3 Prior postsecondary teaching experience is required, preferably at
the community college level.
