If so, then Kalamazoo Valley Community College may have the opportunity you are looking for. We are anticipating this full-time faculty opening which will begin Tuesday, August 26, 2008. This position is contingent upon funding and Board approval. APPLICATION DEADLINE: FRIDAY, MAY 23, 2008.
ENGLISH Responsibilities include teaching both day and evening courses, developing curriculum and participating in division, departmental and college activities. Candidates must be familiar and flexible with a variety of instructional strategies including an ability to utilize technology-based instruction in the classroom and have an understanding of the community college philosophy.
EXPECTED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: 1. Master’s degree in English required. 2 Applicants must demonstrate a broad-based background in teaching a variety of English courses, although the primary focus for this position will be instructing composition and college writing classes.
3 Prior postsecondary teaching experience is required, preferably at
