Approximate Times and Days of the Week for Nursing Courses
Winter 2008
(Subject to change based on clinical sites and instructor availability)
FULL-TIME PROGRAM - TTC
First Semester
This semester must be done on a full time basis
1st 7½ Weeks
NURS 110 Theory, First 5 weeks, Tuesday and Thursday, 11:30 AM – 2:40 PM.
NURS 120 Lab, Weeks 1-5, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM or
1:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
NURS 125 Clinical, Weeks 6 and 7, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 2:30 PM –9:30 PM.
*NURS 120 – Basic Nursing Skills I is a nursing lab with 2 sections. One section will meet from
8:00 AM-12:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The other section will meet from
1:00 PM-5:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays,
and Fridays. The first week lab will meet as scheduled
on Friday, the second week only on Monday, and then routinely on
Mondays, Wednesdays, and
Fridays
starting the third week of the semester. In addition, two (2) 2½-hour labs are required
outside of the
regular class schedule.
2nd 7½ Weeks
NURS 130 Theory, Wednesday and Friday, 7:45 – 10:50 AM.
NURS 140 Lab, Wednesday 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM and Friday*, 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM or Thursday
and
Friday*,
12:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
NURS 145 Clinical, Monday and Tuesday (hours depend on location of clinical site).
*NURS 140 – Basic Nursing Skills II is a nursing lab with 2 sections. One section will meet from
7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
on
Thursday of week one, Wednesday and Friday from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
on week two, and weekly on Wednesdays
thereafter. The other section will meet from
12:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Thursday and Friday of week one and weekly on
Thursdays thereafter.
Refer to the class assignment schedule for weeks 4 and 7.
Second Semester
This semester can be done on a part-time basis (NURS 150/170/180, then NURS 155/160/175)
1st 7½ Weeks
NURS 150 Theory, Monday and Friday*, 8:00 – 10:15 AM.
NURS 160 Lab, First 2 weeks, Tuesday and Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
NURS 155 Clinic, Weeks 3-7, Wednesday and Thursday, days, (3 clinical groups), or Tuesday and
Wednesday,
evenings (1 clinical group) rural community hospitals.
*NURS 150 - Theory will meet on Monday & Thursday of week one and week two, and Monday & Friday
thereafter.
2nd 7½ Weeks
NURS 170 Theory, Monday and Friday, 8:00 – 10:15 AM
NURS 175 Clinic, Weeks 8-15, Wednesday and Thursday, days, (3 clinical groups), or Tuesday and
Wednesday,
evenings (1 clinical group) rural community hospitals.
NURS 180 Theory – Monday 3:00 PM – 4:40 PM and Friday 11:30 AM – 1:10 PM (15 week course)*.
*NURS 180 – The sessions will vary for the first two weeks of class – please refer to the class
assignment schedule.
Third Semester
This semester can be done on a part-time basis (NURS 210/230, then NURS 220/225/235)
1st 7½ Weeks
NURS 210 Theory, Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 10:45 AM – 1:00 PM.
NURS 220 Lab, First 2 weeks, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
NURS 225 Clinic, Weeks 3-7, Wednesday and Thursday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
2nd 7½ Weeks
NURS 230 Theory, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 10:45 AM – 1:00 PM
NURS 235 Clinic, Weeks 8-15, Wednesday and Thursday, 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM.
Fourth Semester
This semester must be done on a full time basis
NURS 240 Class, First 4 weeks, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:15 AM – 12:45 PM.
NURS 250 Theory, Formally meets the first 2 days of week 1 of the semester from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
NURS 255/ Clinic, Weeks 5-15, Monday-Thursday, 3-week rotations in each area.
256/ Labor and Delivery, 6:45 AM – 4:30 PM, time will vary.
257/ Acute Care Pediatrics, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM. Pediatrics days may extend to 4:30 PM.
258 Client Care
Management and Mental Health are on days (from 6:30 or 7:30 AM until 3:00
or 3:30 PM, depending on
the location). Community days may be scheduled at other times
than clinic in OB, Pediatrics or
Mental Health.
